TDM, a division of Thomson Accountants, are the pioneers of tax debt management in South Africa, the first company in the country to offer this important service. Under the leadership of Hedley Grant Thomson, a Master Tax Practitioner and former SARS Auditor with more than 35 years of Accounting and Tax experience, we have yet to find a Tax, VAT or PAYE problem that we cannot solve. Every case receives our full commitment and expertise, no matter how big or how small. And that commitment remains until each case is successfully resolved and our clients are once again able to proudly state that they are compliant with SARS regulations.

Grant founded Thomson Accountants in 2004, and utilises his 35 years of experience to lead the Thomson Accountants / TDM team. Grant is a former Tax Auditor with the SARS JHB Office; his specialised knowledge and expertise have resulted in him being a sought-after speaker, advisor, commentator, and lecturer at numerous institutions.
In addition to Thomson Accountants and SARS, Grant has extensive experience working in the banking, insurance and investment sectors. Grant is a Registered Master Tax Professional (SAIT). He is a highly regarded tax practitioner and holds Postgraduate Studies in Taxation (University of South Africa).
Grant has negotiated numerous High-Profile Tax Cases which are often in the Public Domain. Confidentiality is the order of the day, and effective resolution is paramount.

HEDLEY GRANT THOMSON

Mujib has 14 years of experience and is a qualified Professional Accountant as well as a certified Independent Reviewer through the South African Institute of Professional Accountants. He started off at Thomson Accountants / TDM as a Trainee Accountant at age 19 and is the current General Manager of the Company. He studied part time and obtained his B.com Financial Management degree through the University of South Africa. During his tenure he took a keen interest in Indirect Taxes as well as Dispute Resolutions and furthered his studies in these respective fields. He has dealt with high profile cases over the years and has assisted on matters that have appeared in front of the National Prosecuting Authority. Mujib firmly believes that, when working together as a team, nothing is impossible. He is proud to work with some of the best people in the business.

MUJIB ISMAIL

Burgert specialises in the fields of Taxation and Accounting, with a concentration on Personal Income Tax, Business Taxation, Accounting & Financials, and Tax Debt Management. He currently serves as Assistant General Manager, Senior Accountant and Tax Consultant at Thomson Accountants / TDM.
Burgert has started his career in 2004, completing his articles in 2007. He qualified as an Accounting Technician (SA) through SAIPA in 2007 and did various advanced courses in numerous different tax fields.
Burgert focuses on providing exceptional service, matched with the know-how to achieve this goal. With over 16 years in the industry under his belt, there is not much that he has not come across, or dealt with, over the years. Trust is the keyword here, and he always strives to earn and keep the trust and respect of his customers.
